Tony Pignaloni works on hooking up the battery charging circuit. Resistors were installed because the Motor Generator Set that charged the batteries ran off of 1500 volts. We needed a 600 volt alternative and resistors perform the job which allow the 36 volt control and auxiliary circuits to function.
